Workers of IABSA criticize justice for not enforcing its decisions
The workers of IABSA, the Workers’ Association of the Autonomous Administration of State Assets and Public Companies, today launched a forceful condemnation of the justice system for not enforcing its decisions. This comes after the Supreme Court upheld a ruling of the Court of Justice of Madrid that absolved the former director of the Corporación de Radio y Televisión Española (RTVE) of sanctions imposed on him by IABSA.
Disempowered workers
The workers’ association believes that the decision of the Supreme Court highlights the powerlessness of ordinary Spaniards in the face of court decisions and legal injustice. Through a statement, IABSA has denounced the lack of effective protection that represents the non-enforcement of court decisions in cases where there is a clear lack of equality between the parties.
Laws bypassed
In this way, IABSA has called for a change in the current system in order to avoid a situation in which the laws can be bypassed and legal injustice can be committed without any action being taken by the justice system to protect the most vulnerable. It has also called for a review of the way justice is enforced in Spain, which it says is necessary in the face of a system that fails to protect its citizens from those who act with impunity.
Unfairness to workers
In addition, IABSA highlighted the unfairness of these decisions, which it accuses of privileging the interests of directors and other decision makers in the face of those of the workers. It has asked for a review of the rules governing the legal process in order to ensure that the decisions of the courts reflect the interests of all parties involved.
Call for accountability
The workers’ association has also called for those responsible for these situations to be held accountable and the decriminalization of labor disputes. It has also called for stronger labor rights and a greater role for workers in the resolution of disputes in order to ensure that justice is served.
In conclusion, IABSA has called for a fairer system of justice that protects the rights of workers and that enforces court decisions in order to prevent legal injustices from occurring.
