322 kilograms of Marijuana, Base Paste and Cocaine Seized in Tarija, 9 Apprehended
Police in Tarija have seized 322 kilograms of marijuana, base paste and cocaine, and have arrested 9 people in connection with the incident.
What was confiscated?
The drugs confiscated include:
- 245.850 kg of marijuana
- 32.800 kg of base paste
- 43 kg of cocaine
Suspects arrested
Among the 9 people arrested were:
- 2 Bolivian citizens
- 6 Paragayan citizens
- 1 Argentinian citizen
The investigation
The investigation started in Bermejo, a city in the Chuquisaca department of Bolivia and led to the arrest of the Bolivian suspects. The investigation continued in Tarija and was conducted by undercover agents from the Police Force of Tarija and members of the Special Forces of Anti-Narcotics Police (FELCN).
The investigation revealed that the drugs had been smuggled into the country from Paraguay.

The 9 suspects are currently in custody and Police of Tarija and FELCN continue to investigate the incident.
