Golf Latin America celebrates start of Sudamericano Juvenil de golf
Golf Latin America is celebrating the start of the Sudamericano Juvenil de golf on Monday 4th May. The two-week tournament (May 4-17) will bring together players from all over South American to compete at Patagonia Valley Country Club in Chile.
Prizes
The tournament will reward the best golfer in three categories: junior, amateur and senior. The winners in each category will receive prizes of up to 2000 US dollars and a place in the team that will play the Ligeros Trophy and the USDGC Amateur teams.
Athletes
Players from Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela have traveled to the tournament. Among the athletes, there is the current U19 Junior champion from Brazil, Pedro Dias, who will try to keep his title.
Competition
The tournament will be divided into four days and the players will compete in stroke play and match play. In order to secure a place in the final, the players will have to qualify in the elimination rounds. With the competition beginning on May 4th, we can expect two weeks of intense competition.
Spectators
The tournament will not only be open to players, but also to spectators. Fans have the opportunity to view the competition from exclusive areas around the course. Spectators will be able to witness the best golfers from all over Latin America competing for the semifinals, as well as the championship.
